Scope

This privacy policy informs users about the nature, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider. The legal basis for data protection is provided by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).

  1. Collection and Storage of Personal Data and the Nature and Purpose of Their Use

    a) When visiting the website When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • Name and URL of the accessed file

  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL)

b) When using our contact form (e.g., Laser Configurator, LaserStation) If you have any questions, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. A valid email address is required so that we know who the inquiry is from and can respond. Further details can be provided voluntarily.

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures).

c) Email contact

If you contact us via email, we store:

  • Sender address

  • Content of the email

  • Any attachments

  • Timestamp of receipt

    Purpose: Processing your inquiry and possible documentation of communication.

    Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR or lit. f GDPR.

    Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties unless:

  • You have given your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR),

  • The disclosure is necessary to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR) and there is no reason to believe you have an overriding interest in the non-disclosure of your data,

  • A legal obligation exists (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR), or

  • It is legally permissible and necessary for the fulfillment of a contractual relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR).

  1. Use of Cookies / Consent Management

    We use a consent management tool on our website, allowing you to grant or deny consent to the use of cookies and external services when visiting our site. The legal basis for the use of such cookies is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 TTDSG, unless technically necessary cookies are involved.

    Technically necessary cookies are used based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and § 25 para. 2 TTDSG to ensure the basic functionality and security of the website.

  2. Use of Google Analytics
    This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies that allow analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is activated. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

    Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide further services related to website and internet use.

    We point out that using these services (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, Facebook) may involve data transfers to the USA. These providers rely on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure an adequate level of data protection.   3. Use of Google AdWords and Conversion Tracking

    This website uses the Google AdWords online advertising program and, in this context, conversion tracking. If you arrive at our site via a Google ad, Google AdWords sets a cookie on your device. This cookie expires after 30 days and does not serve personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked the ad and were redirected. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers' websites.

    The information collected via the conversion cookie helps create conversion statistics. Advertisers receive the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

  4. Use of LinkedIn Insight Tag

    Our website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. This tag allows us to collect data about visits to our website, such as URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics, and timestamps. This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days, and deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn shares only aggregated reports and does not provide personally identifiable information.

    The tag also supports retargeting, allowing us to show personalized ads without identifying the visitor. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in advertising and usage analysis).

  5. Embedding of Social Media Content

    Our website includes content and services from third-party providers (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn) to enable multimedia content and social media interaction. We do not use plugins that transmit data immediately upon page load. Data transfer only occurs when you actively load content (e.g., play a video).

    When visiting a page with embedded content, a connection to the third-party provider's servers is established. Personal data (e.g., IP address, device info, referrer URL, timestamp) may be transmitted. If you are logged in to such services (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn), your visit may be linked to your profile.

    Processing is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 TTDSG, provided via our consent management tool.
