Engravable materials

The fiber laser has a high wavelength of 1064 nm, making it particularly suitable for harder surfaces such as MetalsCoatings or also high-contrast plastic markings – Ideal for DataMatrix codes, nameplates, and serial numbers.

Maximum flexibility with MOPA pulse width modulation.

The laser beam's light is emitted in pulses, and this pulse duration is fixed in standardized devices. MOPA pulse width modulation allows you to set the laser parameters specifically and independently. For example, MOPA allows for black marking of anodized aluminum, as is common in the marking of medical devices.

Graphical software

Our software for laser engraving machines allows you to easily and quickly align your data on your component using drag and drop.

All common vector and raster formats are importable. Additionally, you have the option to quickly and easily create barcodes, Data Matrix codes, and QR codes directly within the software.

Rotation unit

Wrap-around labeling made easy! Our 360° rotation unit also allows you to mark rounded surfaces precisely and accurately.

The clamping units are flexibly adjustable and can be individually adapted to your products.

Additionally, software-controlled positioning of the marking area is possible, ensuring you are permanently flexible and can adjust the marking area with millimeter precision at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Laser Engraving Machine

How does a laser engraving machine work?

A laser engraving machine uses a focused laser beam to selectively mark materials by engraving, foaming, or abrading the surface. The laser's energy is controlled to achieve a permanent change in the material. Since the change occurs within the material and no additional components are needed (such as labels), laser markings are abrasion-resistant, as well as chemical and heat-resistant. In industry, laser engraving machines are frequently used for marking components and packaging.

  • High flexibility even with constantly changing labeling requirements, such as different sizes, layouts, and contents like serial numbers or DataMatrix codes.

  • Very fast set-up times: Compared to other labeling methods such as pad printing, no cleaning or cliché changes are necessary.

  • Immediate system availability The laser requires no warm-up time (e.g., preheating) and is immediately ready for use.

  • Versatile application range: Even complex geometries can be easily created with the laser. Furthermore, the inscriptions can be applied to a wide variety of materials.

  • High integrability into existing systems and production lines.

  • No wear parts and long lifespan.

The lifespan of a laser marking system depends on the beam source used. For example, a fiber laser is characterized primarily by its long lifespan and low maintenance requirements. The average lifespan of a fiber laser is over 100,000 operating hours.

Yes, laser marking is inherently environmentally friendly as it does not require consumables such as ink or chemicals. Marking systems are characterized by extremely low energy consumption.

Our laser marking devices comply with Laser Safety Class 1, thus enabling safe use without additional protective measures or a laser safety officer. After qualified training, our devices can be operated by anyone. We place great emphasis on safety and user-friendliness, so you can concentrate on the essentials: the precise execution of your laser engravings.

Laser marking machines are designed for continuous operation and require minimal maintenance because they have no wear parts. Typically, cleaning the lens and regularly changing the filter of the extraction system, depending on usage, are sufficient.
